Concord Coalition Hits the Nail

The Concord Coalition hits the nail right on the head with their new paper explaining the Social Security Trust Fund. With powerful clarity the Concord Coalition explains that the Trust Fund is simply an accounting device and holds no assets that have real economic value, i.e. the Trust Fund can't pay for any benefits, ever.

The Concord Coalition is a one issue group and their issue is fiscal responsibility, generally I think they are one of the best advocacy groups in the US. You may agree with most of their positions and disagree with a few, but you always know where they are coming from, they are consistent, non-partisan, fact driven, and honest, you really can't ask for more than that.
